My heart bleeds for how fragile and fleeting the chances for expression are in Iran. Our writers, poets, analysts, artists, and thinkers of any discipline are continually walking the tightrope of censorship, labels, taboos, and hate. Englightenment is a precarious business Ehsan Jan. Those who engage in it risk their freedom, livelihoods, reputation, and even their lives. I don't know this author, but it matters not. His plight is the same as all those who have a conscience and who think in this world. The struggles of this century, the battles and wars, are not really about borders, guns, and tanks anymore. Though wars are happening everywhere, they are pre-fabricated wars "planted" between nations by greedy businessmen who benefit from wars. I believe today's struggles among people, nations, and governments to be about people trying to overcome poverty, illiteracy, and ignorance. Where the objective is to fight those plights, intellectuals, writers and thinkers become "soldiers" of the war to bring enlightenment, understanding, and hope to people. Many of them go "missing in action." Many of them become "prisoners of war," and yet more become "war martyrs" in the process. Yadeali and all others persecuted for their opinions are prisoners of the war on ignorance.

Sorry, I have been looking at that post for a few days, and my (long) comment only just surfaced! Be good Ehsan Jan.
